Our Equus has been with us now for a year, but before it leaves, we got Hyundai's permission to do some modifications to its oh-so-dull Chairman-in-Seoul livery.
I think the result is pretty subtle and Texans in particular should find it quite tasteful ...
Like it??? Ain't it classy? Hook 'em Horns?
Yeah, if you believe this, I should probably warn you that the ghost of Richard Nixon is right behind you.
Seriously, dude, you looked? Lame.
Any way, this thing was parked down in our garage last night. It's monumentally epic when you start thinking about it. Buying an Equus to begin with is a rare event. Then painting it bright Hook 'em Horns Orange is a profound juxtaposition that takes some real cojones. Then slapping on matching UT dubs to top it all off ... priceless. Could you imagine trying to sell this thing?
It's like serving Kimchee at Big Daddee's Roadhouse BBQ. It's so ridiculous I love it.

And it is parked in the handicap spot. Did it have a a HC spot pass?

Spent a boatload as well... the Longhorn logo on each wheel spoke is a nice touch. These angles (and color!) really show what an S-class ripoff the Equus styling job is.

Looks like something Vince Young would do. When he was in Nashville, he drove kind of a dusty rose colored S Class.

That first picture looks so much like a Lexus LS460, I thought you switched cars. Wouldn't be my color choice but at least you notice the car.

my favorite story about a texan is the phd student i knew while i was in college many years ago; he drove his pickup up here full of texas dirt that he sprinkled around his rental house. he said, "when you are at my house, you in texas".
they are a slightly different breed...

Have you seen the Laker'ed out Genesis that is always in front of the Sports Club LA err Equinox? Purple rims, yellow tail light lenses and accents throughout.

"That first picture looks so much like a Lexus LS460, I thought you switched cars."
- So are you saying the LS460 looks like an S Class? (Actually, would be the LS430.)
Don't see how people can confuse the Equus and the LS up front; the Equus has a diff. grill and the headlights are less rectangular than on the LS and flow back towards the A pillar.
The other Equus is just plain tacky.

It's funny how much stuff like this actually ends up costing. Not only do you pay a hefty price for the mods themselves, but you tank your resale value at the same time.

Even though it doesnt look right on a luxury flagship, it actually isnt that atrocious of a color.

Somehow I knew that was coming. A friend of mine posted pictures he took of it at a game a while back on Facebook.
BTW: I'm from Texas. I drive an orange Charger. But I just cannot make myself like this Equus. (Granted, I don't care much for sports. My car is orange because it looked cool and was cheaper than a white one on the lot.)

The color is not so bad but the wheels are terrible. A perfect example that money and class are not the same thing.

Isn't front tint that dark illegal in CA?
The whole intent of this vehicle is obliterated by fitting it with Chinese tyres with so little sidewall that every surface imperfection is surely transmitted to the occupants.
Incredible fail.

A lot of negative comments.. Oh, right, I forgot. "Enthusiasts" aren't supposed to personalize their cars unless there is some performance benefit.
Whatever shop did this did a decent job. Have you ever seen a rusted out '88 Lincoln riding on a 6" lift rolling on 24" rims? That's tasteless. This Equus is actually a pretty cohesive design. Nice work.
