2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0: Hey Bodyblue, You Ready?

 IMG_1015.JPG

Because our bet is nearing its end. This picture was taken last weekend before Mike's epic burnout, which didn't faze the 'Stang. Check that second gear!

And in case you don't remember the bet, check the comments on this post.

Stay tuned. Only about 1,600 miles until bodyblue surrenders his fun police license.

It'll be funny if something happens to the tranny @ 19,995 miles...

Haha we'll have to make sure to enforce the 'no fun police' rule, I'm rooting for the Mustang.

I am ready to surrender....at 20,000 miles of course :)

A video of the car driving and shifting will be required to prove it of course.

I would like to see you try.

As much as I LOVE a good burnout, bodyblue is right, burnouts are abuse. Now, how much abuse? Not much. Lots of abuse to the tires, and Im sure the mustangs are a pretty penny, not so much to a new car. And, tires are "wear" items anyway so its not a big deal if you have a big mullet, I mean wallet...
Just make sure to change that diff oil on time...

I wonder how many miles are on Trip B. I am always amazed when I switch.

In this case, I am definitely not siding with bodyblue. Sorry.

However, I think that Edmunds should run this car to the same mileage as the Flex. There have been enough posts about the transmission that I think it would be interesting to see just how long it will last. And I don't think any of the editors would complain about keeping a few years more. It's the boss who makes the decision, of course. Unless an editor buys it. Hmmm.....

Hell yes! I will take anything free! It will match my CCT watch my brother gave me years ago. CCT is Chevrolet Certified Technician.....My brother was a Master Mechanic for GM for many many years. When he was working for them he bought Fords and Toyotas. LOL It was fun going to Jack Tracy Buick in Oakland to see him and seeing his Mustang GT out front on the service drive.

If you're a man of your word, when you get your bitching shoes on a reminder of your agreement should be sufficient, I would think.

@bimmerjay

Either that or they could just ban his grumpy ass.

I don't think I have ever rooted so hard for a Mustang in my life! Burnouts don't kill transmissions, bad drivers do.

All I will do is not say anything when IL does burnouts. That is my word. I will never stop bitching about street racing and unsafe driving. ever.

"ither that or they could just ban his grumpy ass."

Is that all you got? Do I make you cry sometimes?

Go on a long road trip to rack up those miles and make this particular online incarnation of Ralph Nader eat his words.

We may not always like what he says (or perhaps more importantly how he says it) but that's not a ban-able offense IMO and not against Edmunds' TOS.
