There's so much negativity in the world today, so I wrote a completely positive post on all the things I like about the new Acura TSX wagon. These are not in any particular order.
1. a real hand brake (my preference over a floor pedal or an electronic button)
2. audio buttons that are not stuck inside the nav system (which I rarely use)
3. leather-wrapped steering wheel that feels nice in my hand
4. attractive stitching detailing the leather
5. shift knob that looks like a black baseball and is comfortable in the hand
6. simple, not flashy instrument panel
7. tire pressure warning system that tells the psi (not exclusive to this car but nice)
8. steady but not too stiff suspension that takes a curve well
9. quick shifting automatic transmission
10. It's a wagon!

I'm still a manual transmission guy, but Acura's automatics do behave very well. Even with 'only' five gears, they still rank up there.

dracy69, I'm pretty sure they do. I was able to get an adult bike back there (wheel off).
I feel very positive about my TSX wagon (including the engine). I think many of the negative comments I read about it are coming from people who have never driven one. I guess the internet does turn people into Grandpa Simpson (perpetually grumpy).

I'm with you on all the likes. Particularly #9. I'f I'm going to drive an auto, I'd like it to be actually responsive to throttle inputs, rather than ignoring them in furtherance of it's own inflexible fuel-saving agenda.

Agreed on all points. I was a little less than impressed with the TSX wagon when it first came out, but thanks to this LT test I'm thinking I'll definitely consider a used on to replace our Taurus wagon in a few years time.

@ stovt001,
If you like to drive and want a wagon I don't think you have too many options at this point. Seems like only the A4 and TSX wagons fall into that category, maybe also the 3er wagon if you can find one...

Mom270, that's good. Glad to see someone else can enjoy their car.
Louis, you can also get a cts sport wagon

donna, can we get Dan to do a suspension walkthrough of the TSX wagon?

@funyuns101: I'm sure it's on his list but I'll remind him. -- Donna

Having had a 2010 TSX Tech package I can agree with all points......great car, however for it's size it might as well be a coupe as the back legroom is nonexistant...........

I have yet to drive any of the aforementioned wagons, though I've driven the TSX and A4 sedans. But based on looks alone, I'd say the CTS Wagon is the nicest one. I saw one on the rode not too long ago and it was sweet! I've always like A4 Avants, but it doesn't come close to the CTS Wagon. And from what I've read thus far, it's also the best drive.

Come to think of it, maybe IL should do a comparison review between the TSW Wagon, A4 Avant, and CTS Wagon. That would definitely be interesting.

I wanted a CTS Wagon, but there is no way to get one for less than 40k. At that point I would have a truck

Here's something I REALLY LIKE about my TSX Sports Wagon.... 35.5 MPG! That's all highway (avg. speed of ~72), driving from Columbus, Ohio to Cincinnati, Ohio via I71. (Went up to watch the 1st round of the Memorial Tournament with my son!)

@bryhogan I agree fuel economy is much better than I expected mine got 32.6 with only 250 miles on the clock hwy. but our avg. so far is 26.2 . My wifes daily drive is only like 15 miles round trip and 0 hwy. so I'm also impressed. You also have to put in a mention for the audio system compared to my 08 CR-v it's night and day almost as good as my '10 TL Tech. . I like the CTS wagon to but in upper midwest rwd doesn't cut it in winter and the awd version was way out of budget.
