2010 Suzuki Kizashi: Holding Up

kizashi_interior1.jpg This weekend our Suzuki Kizashi will likely crest 20,000 miles. I've been paying attention this past week and I haven't heard any squeaks or rattles. The car drives just like it did a year ago. The interior has held up, too, with no noticeable scratches or defects. The all-black color scheme is a bit somber, but it also hides dirt really well.

I also went back and checked for our service reports. The first 7,500-mile service included a TSB under warranty, and the dealer at the second 15,000-mile service stuck us with some unneeded items. But in terms of mechanicals, we've had zero problems with the car.

I'm only commenting so that Brent Romans' feelings don't get hurt because no one commented.

Hoping my Kizashi looks as good after 20,000 and a brutal midwest winter.

I really like this car, one of the few non GM cars I would seriously consider.

It has available AWD right?

This is one LT fleet car I'd actually consider purchasing from Edmunds at the end of the test. If I recall correctly it hasn't been abused with any of the shenanigans I love reading about, hasn't exhibited any signs of the usual LT fleet curse, AND seems like a very good car all around. The reliability we've seen here makes the limited dealer network much less of a concern.

Sat in one of these today. Ignoring the incredibly annoying salesman, I was still disappointed. The sticker was $30K. I couldn't explain why it should be more than $20K. Nothing felt special and it was small. It was probably one of the more overpriced cars at the auto show.

auto show....if it was mpls then yeah, i agree that guy was annoying. I thought the car was pretty sweet except for the back seat leg room. It shouldnt be over 25k for the top of the line though, first prove yourself, then you can charge lexus prices.

toastblows, we must have met the same guy. :) I might have been a little more open to further investigating the car, but he made me want to get away from him.

Basically I go there so I can sit in and look at cars with no salesperson interference. Massive FAIL at suzuki's showcase.

Nice car....$5k overpriced. thats my take.

I had the same thing happen at Volvo's stand at the LA Auto Show. I too go to auto shows so I can get an impression of interiors without salesmen around, and most manufacturers get that concept at auto shows. The overbearing Volvo sales rep just made me want to get out of the C30 as fast as possible.
