2010 Suziki Kizashi: The Little Things

Kizashi_quickkeys.jpg

Last night I mentioned how much I loved the feature content of our Kizashi. My favorite feature has to be the keyless system.

It may seem trivial, but when I was in a big rush in trying to do a little shopping for some decent clothes, getting a hair cut and running out to a service in less than two hours time, not having to fumble for your keys in your pocket while holding bags is such a nice convenience. It's also nice to just sit into the car and hit the button to start the car.

It's little things like this that play such a large roll on how nice this car is. This Suzuki has really impressed me.

Those are nice features for a non premium car, I've only seen a few of these on the road but they are very nice looking.

There is no question that the Kizashi is a really nice car, with extras that are surprising.

The only question is: Suzuki-- can it survive in the US?

I'm not gonna lie, Inside Line has me wanting to drive this car. I think the feature content, interior looks and sport/practical balance make this a very appealing car. I fall into the group of people who need a back seat for the kids, a sporting nature with a manual transmission, and a price point that won't make you cringe while driving around a depreciating asset. If only Suzuki offered a factory turbo option. I've been eying the RRM turbo Kizashi but would be weary of the reputation of a new (to me) company. I currently own a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3.

I would love to see you guys do a side by side comparison of both your long term Kizashi and your long term Cruze. They seem to be similarly sized and priced.

I love the keyless entry and start features of both my IS350 and G37S! Its too bad that they are so much maligned in the auto press these days....

WHy this is impressive if other cars have it in your fleet? Like both mitsubishis?

Can those of who are fans of this car say that if more of the American car-buying public knew how well-designed, well-equipped and overall great a car the Kizashi is, that dealers couldn't keep them in stock? As has been previously said, it's almost like the best kept secret in the automotive world.

@cr_driver - As an Outlander owner I agree this isn't _that_ impressive. However, if I had come from the BMW ( http://blogs.insideline.com/roadtests/2011/01/2011-bmw-528i-keyless-entry-not-so-keyless.html ) it would seem to be practically wondrous.

It does! Much better than the 58K BMW (yes Jay, I am still on that subject, sorry) and that is either impressive or sad, depending on how you think.
