Saturday we had a Tweetup/Meet Up/Gathering whatever you want to call it at Cars & Coffee. We brought the new 2011 Ford Explorer and a few of our long-term cars.
I was driving the Audi A4 Avant, Dan brought the Raptor and you'll catch a glimpse of one of our new cars in this short video from the event.
It was great meeting some of our readers. Hopefully, we'll do this again soon.

Ha. I had to watch it twice to catch it.
It looked so much like the Kizashi on the first pass I didn't even recognize it as a new edition.

Thank you so much for getting a M56 and not a M37! I am looking forward to see how the M56 drives! Also I saw an exact same color and trim new Explorer on Michigan manufacturer plate driving in Del Mar (San Diego) last weekend, was that you guys with the same Explorer?

The M56 is interesting for sure but GAG! SILVER? I just threw up a little in my mouth!

I was hoping the new LT car was the Hi-boy roadster. The M will make a nice counterpoint to the 5 series.

Maybe they charge extra if you want it in a real colour?

Donna only said it was "one of our new cars" so I am not sure that means LTRT car or just a test car. I was hoping that what looks like a black Camaro in the background might be a new Z28, but I guess that is just wishful thinking.
I can't afford either the M56 or the Z28, so they are just cars to lust for. And that, as they say, is that (Star Trek 4)

As one of the readers who made it to the meet up, I heard about some possibilities for the LT fleet beyond the M56 we see here (and ed124c, it is indeed a LT car). According to Scott, your calls for more performance oriented cars should be answered. I won't say any more than that, other than I'm very, very, excited for the next few months around here. With the editors' blessings, maybe I'll drop a few more hints.
Also ed124c, that was not a Z28 in the background, just one of the many 5th Gen Camaros present with the usual massive wheels, body kits, and stripes. As far as I know, it had nothing to do with Edmunds either.
If the Edmunds team gets together again, I'd strongly encourage anyone even remotely in the area to attend. They really are a fantastic group of people, and a morning spent in the midst of many wonderful cars, talking cars with nice people who really get it, was more than worth getting up at 5:30 on a Saturday.
Many thanks to all Edmunds staff presents for the wonderful Saturday morning.

"They really are a fantastic group of people,"
I am sure they are...they seem really nice on here. PSSSST you can tell me....did they really wear their "we are on a secret crusade to destroy GM" tee shirts?
I wont tell 1487...I promise.
I am jealous BTW.....I would have loved to go.
