2010 Chevrolet Traverse: 10,000-mile Service

2010_chevrolet_traverse_service.jpg

We dropped out 2010 Chevrolet Traverse off at Chevrolet Santa Monica for its 10,000-mile service and more. The more consisted of: a second row seat belt recall (#10243), a loose side door molding and a leaking sunroof. These would require the Traverse stay overnight.

All items were fixed to our satisfaction. The oil change ran us 46 bucks. The seat belt was repaired per the recall. Our leaky sunroof was the result of a clogged drain tube, which was cleaned out for proper drainage. And the loose door molding, well, that part had to be special ordered. For the time being it was removed. When it arrives, we'll have it installed.

Days out of Service: 1

Total Cost: $46.41

Now you're running without a door panel? Seems kinda odd that a dealer would do that instead of just holding the car for a extra day or two.

That dealership looks more like an upscale apartment complex than a dealership.

Just an oil change at 10k? No tire rotation?

Every leaking sunroof I've ever come across can be fixed by cleaning out those drain tubes. At 10k loose door moldings would make me nervous about build quality and more niggely annoying problems down the road.

In 10K miles, how did you guys manage to fill the drain tube up with trash?

What about the paint damage caused by that door molding that was falling off? How are they going to fix that and will it be covered under warranty, as it should be?
