2009 Ford Flex Limited: Time For A Change

fuel light.JPG

Our longterm 2009 Ford Flex is trying to tell us something... but I'm not sure what.

This alert lit up straight away upon startup. There's no missing it.

Sir, yes, sir! Right away, sir!

The Title said to me that maybe you were gettting rid of it. Guess not. Nuts. I think it is about time. There are already enough miles on the car. It is inevitable that some time in the future, something will go wrong. That's life. Edmunds has nothing more to prove about the Flex.

They said they were going to keep it for 100,000 miles and as an owner of two cars that are well beyond that, it's a breath of fresh air to finally see a blog keep a car for a more realistic amount of time.

I for one am glad that Edmunds is keeping to their promise to keep the the Flex for 100,000 miles.

Why not keep the Flex regardless of miles like a normal family would and get rid of it when repairs start to cost more then the Flex is worth? Also, keep the Audi for the same time and see how well the two hold up. At this rate I think the Flex will easily top 200,000 miles.

GO FORD, USA PROUD!!!!

That's a much better message that Honda's stupid system, which spits out a bunch of cryptic two character codes that you have to look up in the manual.
