2010 Suzuki Kizashi: What Would You Like to Know?

I've driven the Kizashi a lot recently and am going to again tonight, so I figured I'd open the floor up to all y'all in commenter land. Is there anything about our cool little Suzuki you'd like to know about that we haven't covered yet?

Is the engine developed by Suzuki themselves from scratch, or is it sourced from some pool of "world engine"?

How many RPM's does it pull in 6th gear at 70 mph (if you can go that fast in LA traffic)?

Scooby, I can answer that right now. 2,100 rpm.

I want to know if you're in a situation like Caroline complained about in the Sonata at LAX of being in the car behind the wheel (with the proximity key on you, of course), could someone still open the trunk with the exterior release? If so, under what circumstances? Engine on, doors unlocked, etc.

This car seems to get a lot of postings. The reviews are favorable enough but the dealer network continues to dwindle. Is this the car that can save Suzuki from becoming the next Isuzu?

I keep reading different opinions. Is it the sport sedan (with the manual) Suzuki wants everybody to think it is? If not, could it be with a few mods?

I would truly like to know: Would you buy one? I mean to ask, is this just a fringe product, or would you and your coworkers honestly cross-shop the local Suzuki dealer? Would anyone for that matter? The production numbers relative to the competition on the Mitsubishi Outlander really opened my eyes to the fringe, is that where the Suzuki will stay? Will there be a gen 2 of this machine or is it likely Suzuki's last foray into the midsize market?

Has the Kizoo been on any road trips? It really needs a cargo test and just get stuffed with...stuff. I'm curious how it compares to the Sonota cargo capacity wise. Also, how is storage in the passenger compartment?

What would I like to know? Well, for starters, will this car (and brand) still be on sale here in the USA this time next year?

How many people have you met that thought you were driving a Volkswagen Jetta?

Wonderful questions-- my sentiments exactly.

How does the insurance premium compare to the Sonata (comparing vs Sonata since they are relatively decent comps, but really because the Sonata is the only other midsize sedan on your LT fleet)? Would think the lack of Kizashis out there would make replacement parts more expensive..

It was reported earlier that the air conditioning performance was not up to the task, is this still true?
