2010 Volvo XC60: Seems to be OK

Volvo XC60 hatch open.JPG

Last night and today I drove our long-term 2010 Volvo XC60, the first staffer to drive it any significant distance after a load-bearing concrete pillar hit it.

And I'm happy to report that I found no evidence of the damage from driving it (although I did not closely inspect body panels for fit and finish.)

There were no rattles or crunching noises, and the car tracked straight on the highway.
I didn't toss it around, but I don't think handling was affected either.

Al, were you the one who crashed it?

Man, there are few things worse than wrecking something that isn't yours. I once wrecked a friend's VMax. It cost me $900.00 and a year full of a constant stream of guilt-trip comments from him about how his bike was no longer the same. I lived through it though, so I suppose I got of lightly.

My friend has this car and I hate it. Basically is a way overpriced CR-V. Also Edward Cullen of the Twilight series drives one. NO Man should behind the wheel of a featured car from the Twilight series. Epic Fail

"after a load-bearing concrete pillar hit it"

Just how fast was the pillar moving when it ran into you, sir?

"a load-bearing concrete pillar"

Congrats on remembering the comment made by (I think) dougtheeng when the Ram got damaged.

maybe the pillar didn't see you because not all of your break lights (bottom right of pic) aren't working haha I hattttte when people fail to fix these things!! This is minor, but still. as for vampires driving this car, all i can say is his sister has a sweet porsche in the film, they must not have too bad taste...however, you can see in the film that when they painted the car for the movie, that they didnt do a good job, as the interior of the car shows the burnt orange/brown color on the door pillar inside the cabin...tisk tisk.

The lights are working fine, fyi. The lower left light is the rear fog, which is apparently switched on. There is no right rear fog, at least not in the US.
