2009 Dodge Ram: Ram Box is Cooler

ram-box-cooler-1.jpg

It took me a full year, but I finally figured out a practical use for the Ram's Ram Box. Yes, we had a good party. By the way, that's nine bags of ice. Please don't drink and drive.

I'm assuming there's a drain port for it like all coolers have? Pretty cool!!! (no pun intended)

AWESOME - assume (in addition to the drain) that it is plastic lined throughout?

Been doing this with an Avalanche for years...

It's the wrong beer you've loaded it with... There should be Bud Light or some other urine-like beverage:)))

I hope that's the side that had the hole punched in it by the trailer hitch: built-in drain!

I've been lobbying for this since you bought the Ram

Nearly unforgivable that you choose to fill it with such womanly brews

Given enough time, they do sometimes listen to their readers. :)

Oh look! The Dodge learned a Chevy Avalanche/ Escalade EXT trick! But the next question is can you camp in the bed and the cab at the same time? I think not!

Good choice of beers. Heineken is a favourite. Thankfully you didn't fill it with Coors Light or Bud Light, what's with you Americans drinking piss?

So for the low price of $1600 you get . . . a cooler.

No thanks.

So, is that how you put Bryn on ice or give her the cold shoulder? So, does this make the Ram the best trunk for tailgate parties?

9 bags of ice for 12 beers?

wrinklebump says:

06:19 PM, 06/14/10

Without a doubt it was a waste of ice to cool off 12 bottles of Eurotrash bottled urine. 90 cans of union-brewed PBR could easily fit within the Rambox walls

What? No Coke for the driver and Jack Daniels for everyone else?

Beer goes in first, then ice. It looks like you could have gotten at least a case in there.

check out the reflection of the guy in the paint. Boy, go lift some weights before you drive a Dodge Ram!

Agreed. I don't often drink beer, but when I do, it's definitely not that Coors/Bud piss water.

Talk about increasing one's popularity quotient! Drive up to a party in one of these. That would do it!!!

Geeeze, and I thought opinions were strong about cars! LOL My favorite brand of beer is .....wait for it....FREE! If it is ice cold on a hot day I could care less what it is. Heineken is my golf beer, Sam Adams is my dinner beer and PBR or Coors is my yard work beer.....I like most everything, BUT I wont pay $7 a six pack for anything....I have a neighbor who drives me crazy with his micro-brew is best BS...sure it tastes ok but not worth the money and hype. IMO

I buy a $7-$12 six pack once a week, its fun to try new things. After I've had a couple, its time to switch over to labatt blue/bud light and keep the night going.

"90 cans of union-brewed PBR could easily fit within the Rambox walls"...

and you wouldn't have needed ice, PBR tastes the same warm or cold - less than delicious.

Carling Black Label and Knickerbocker are good ice saving alternative's that were consumed in large quantities during the collegiate years.

LOVE the Rambox! My brother bought one after his Toyota Tundra broke two sets of camshafts in two months. Well, that and the whole Toyota accelerator pedal coverup by those stooges in Japan soured him on Toyota. He Says the new Ram is hes favorite truck ever. And he has driven pick ups since highschool. Motsly imports though. So i dont know if you can count them as real trucks. I try and get him to drive to all the tailgates.

It would make sense for such an expensive option to come with some insulation. I am sure the extra thickness could be accomodated without problem.
