This array of dash lights appeared on our Prius yesterday while driving on the freeway. No obvious trigger incident occurred.

This warning light and various service indicators also appeared on the multi-information display. Clearly, we're due for some regular maintenance.
Toyota of Santa Monica is working on a diagnosis. We'll let you know more when we know more.

I think the message is "see the dealer, and bring lots of cash"

^^ LOL!
Please find out what "Personal Items" are, while you're at the dealership. And why two?

Another toyota that freaks out?

Anyone want to bet the problem is the infamous inverter coolant pump?
Also, Dan Edmunds just did an oil change 2,000 miles ago. He resetted the maintenance required light on the Instrument panel but did not do a reset to the Nav unit:

The last Toyota that I drove that freaked out like this had the crankshaft explode a minute later at highway speed and send all six pistons through hood. Consider yourself lucky.

Right, because I'm sure that's a frequent occurrence...

Thats a lot going on. Seriously doubt that all those warning lights are on because of regular maintenance. Check Engine and Stability Control definitely don't come on for maint. Not sure what the hazard triangle with exclamation point and brake with exclamation point are for. And when the maint required light was reset why wasn't the info center reminders reset.

Also this is why I like the Tech Package in my Acura. When warning lights are malfunction messages come on the nav system will display and verbally tell you more information about the malfunction and it lets the driver know if this is something that requires immediate attention or if you can keep driving and see your dealer later. It will even tell you the diagnostic trouble codes associated the check engine light. I would like to see Garmin and Tom Tom do that.

Clearly, there's more than general maintenance required here. Guess I didn't make that clear enough.

My dad had this exact same thing happen on his 2004 Prius. It turned out that the water pump was malfunctioning. Took the dealer a month to get the replacement part in.
Started with ABS light coming on, 5 minutes later the maintenance light, then 10 minutes later the check engine and the stability control at the same time, at which point the car stalled and he had it towed to the dealer.
Fortunately, it was covered under the 100k warranty (he had 99,973 miles on the car at the time).

I think the bigger question within all this is..... What the hell is JOSH doing with the old Prius?!

That reminds me of the "Arrivederci Fiero" episode of How I Met Your Mother.
So, Consumer Reports, where is your god now?

no my gps won't give me that information, but my obdII reader will. Still much cheaper than your $2k nav option.

O2 sensor. This is what our 2001 4Runner did on a 3200-mile road trip. We were FREAKING out. Until the codes said "O2 sensor" One hour and $290 later and we were back in business.

@allthingshonda:
The triangle with the exclamation point is a general warning light to indicate you need to check your information center (because the exclamation point doesn't tell you anything).
