2009 Dodge Challenger R/T: Road Trip Notes

challenger-desert-pro-1600.jpg

Just a couple leftover notes from my road trip in the Challenger.

- Best tank of gas yielded 23.9 mpg. Not bad considering I was running 80 mph most of the time.

- The iPod interface works well, but the nav system doesn't let you do much while you're moving. Lame.

- There's no actual dead pedal. There is, however, a big empty space to rest your left foot, so good enough.

- You can fit four full-size golf bags in the trunk should you need to transport a few friends in a pinch. Didn't expect that.

- It still gets looks, even when it's covered in several hundred miles of road grime.

It almost looks better with a little road grime

I got a Flex so I wouldn't have to transport my friends in the trunk. But to each their own. :)

Is it me or can the Challenger use a bigger front end (judging by the profile picture)?

I think it looks really bloated and a large front overhang. I definitely wouldn't own this car without the larger 20" rims. The 18"s kill the aggressive look altogether.

Jeans. Comfortable shoes. A couple of changes of underwear. A couple of t-shirts. Driver's license, sunglasses, military ID card, bank card, iPod, a little cash, and a black Charger. No particular place to go and time on my hands.
Yeah, that's it. This car does look better with a little road grime.
