I heard it before I saw it.
When I looked up I was being passed by a shiny black Nissan GT-R. I was driving the Ford Flex at the time. While the funky Flex is likeable, it just doesn't do it for me.
I longed to pull up next to the driver and proclaim, "I used to drive a white one. Really. I swear."
But he disappeared in a flash of obsidian.
I miss the GT-R. And somewhere in my heart, I know it misses me.

I see one almost every day on the way to work, along the same stretch of road. Most of the time, we're alone. I like to think the GT-R thinks highly enough of me to make sure I get a brief moment to myself. I <3 you too, Godzirra.

I miss reading about it on here. It was the closest i'll be getting to one unless i stop by a dealer or happen to come across one in a parking lot.

Don't worry, Donna. You can catch it at the nearest Nissan dealership's service bay with either its tranny blown or broken down emission system or some other ailment.
It's a Nissan coupe. It was destined to be a lemon.

@Wobby Ears: Beyond the two freak incidents theirs was inflicted with, I'm willing to wager it'll be more mechanically sound than 90% of the cars in their long-term fleet.

mikeolan, I'm willing to buy that Edmunds experience may have been worse than average, but claiming it's more mechanically sound than 90% of the fleet is absurd.

Donna, I'm sure if you had to pay for the GT-R, plus its maintenance, plus the insurance costs you wouldn't miss it quite so much. Those high maintenance relationships can be a lot of fun while you're in them, but are are even more fun if someone else is footing the bill.

Ha ha ha wobbly.
Donna, are you sure the flash of obsidian wasn't some kind of critical fluid shooting out of something?

As much as I love the Flex, I'm sure it would be harsh going from a GT-R to one.

The flex doesn't spark the same level of excitement?! ;)

I'd actually rather have a 370Z than the GT-R. The GT-R just doesn't turn me on at all.

Sorry, I went to the Jay Leno School of Comedy.

That was funny hehe. I agree with the Jay Leno part. GT-R is more exciting. But, in the end of the day with a wife and prospective children I'll get the Flex before you can say GT-R.
Doesn't matter how much of an enthusiast i am. One must give in to the the family wagon if one takes responsibility for its family. When I retire though I'm not gonna give a S*** how hard my wife makes fun of me for afterlife crisis but i'm coming home with whatever mustang i can afford at the time.

I, too, miss our GT-R. I saw one at night on the 101 a few weeks ago -- that striking shape and beautiful sound. It brought back fond memories. The car really catches my attention when I spot one.

This happens to me with Coopers and E46 ZHPs. I want to make a connection with those folks. But maybe it's to steal their cars? Can't trust myself. Retreat back under the eaves and wait for the rain to stop trying to control my brain.
