As the 2009 Infiniti FX50 prepares to leave our fleet for good, I took it this morning for its final visit to Blue Wave, our local car wash.
Watching the wash worker dress the Infiniti's tires, I thought about how much I'll miss the FX50 when it's gone. Not for its smooth, compliant ride, but for allowing me to look down on FX35 drivers (literally) from my perch atop its massive 21-inch wheels.
Goodbye, FX50. It's been tons of big-wheeled fun.

Is there ANY other car below $100k that has factory standard or optional 21" wheels??

cadillac escalade, you can get 22's from factory.

I thought the Ford Flex came with 22's or 24"s as an option?

Exactly, cadillac escalade

The FX50's rims are better looking than the Escalade's, in my opinion.
Also, I'm sad to see this car go. Will you be getting something interesting to replace it?

Look down on us poor FX35 drivers? LOL.

I actually started reading your blogs since you bought the FX50S. Now that its gone, I think I can get rid of the bookmark :)
Just outta curiosity, are you selling the FX like you sold the GTR, or do you give it back to Infiniti? If you are selling, do let us know how much you are getting for it.

I will miss this car dearly. One of more unique cars in the fleet.
