I know Edmunds didn't have much choice in the matter but does anyone else think that this is the worst color for a car to be?

Love the color, and I don't tend to like the more subdued Lexus-ish golds/browns

My mother would have loved it; we had a similar-colored Mercury in the early '70s when this palette was in style. OTOH, today I avoid all of the excrement shades.

@fhwulala
IMHO here but generally you want to avoid earth tones like brown to avoid any obvious nicknames for a certain model. Other colors to avoid are things like light robin egg blue and pale yellow as these colors don't age well.

I love the color! I am so sick of the boring gray and silver blobs on the road.....I do like gold but am tired of seeing it on Lexus'. I was on a Kia lot the other day to look at a Soul and loved it in "Java" and the "Smokey Brown" on the Sportage......and the "Bronze on the Forte. I also like Fords "Smokestone" and "Natural Neutral"....also I still like reds like Dodge's "Inferno Red Crystal Pearl"....My Mustang is white with black interior......when I got it I just loved the contrast between the black grill (2005 model) and the "Performance White" paint.....and I still do. MY Stratus is a dark gray and I hate it. ANYTHING but gray and silver for me.
Oh and Hybris.....you cant be stoned for what you like. And you are right.....pale yellow and light blue cars dont age well at all. I thing the earth tones are coming back for more than just cars......indoor paints and carpets in earth tones are HUGE right now...(I work at a big box retailer)

Wow, you all are rather close to our percentage of who buys what. Silver, white, black tops our lists. Those with wonderful round peg, square hole pov thrive on eclectic anythings. We bought square cars (240's) then found life in softer lines like this C70. Saffron was an either love it or hate it color. With our C70 it was awesome, in an 850 Wagon....well not my style, but did scream, 'I'm not like you'.

0-60 in 7.1 is pretty darn good, but "it's got motor"? Maybe I'm too biased because I don't like Volvo's.
