2009 Honda Fit Sport: One Trip Per Customer, Please

honda_fit_odo_1600.jpg

On long road trips, I nearly always use both A and B trip odometers. One to track mileage between fill-ups and the other to record the distance of the overall trip.

No A/B option for the Honda Fit. It has but one.

I guess next time get the Insight which also will automatically reset the trip A odometer when you fill up (unless you disabled that feature in setup). Ignoring any other pro/cons otherwise...

I've never actually cared for the 2 trip odometers, but that's an interesting use. Also, I'll second lucien4, the TSX will reset the Average Fuel Economy as well.

What's the "steering wheel" indicator lamp glowing in yellow for?

...interestingly enough, my e90 only has a single trip computer too...

@ thegraduate

I think that's because the key is in the accessory position so its letting you know that you don't have power steering (since the power steering on this car is electrically operate, I believe). Not sure. Just a guess.

@crowb

That makes sense! Thanks. I have two Accords ('96, '06) and knew I hadn't seen that, and that it wasn't a VSA indicator.

I'd like a wireless connection so I can download detailed trip information to a spreadsheet and start crunching numbers.

My better half, on the other hand, won't even use a single trip counter.

I guess it's a wash.

If it had two trip meters would you at least dust the poor car???? Geese Louise!

I'm sure that, as a journalist, you could be trained to use a pencil to record the per tankful figures.

Oh man. A car with only one trip odometer! What'll the cheapskate beancounters think of next? What is the world coming to??

I've never actually had or driven a car with multiple trip odometers. How did I make it this far? I guess ignorance is bliss (especially since I drive a Fit and love it).

Ya know, I just realized that I use the A & B trips like that all the time, would be disappointed with the car only having only one 'trip', but it would not affect whether or not I bought the car.
