If I had to choose one word to describe our 2010 Volvo XC60 is would be "tight."
I don't mean that it's not spacious. I mean the way it is put together. Everything feels tight and solid. There are no loosey goosey bits.
The seats are firm, the steering wheel feels appropriately weighted, the buttons and dials all feel sturdy.
I remember getting this same impression in our long-term 2005 Volvo S40.
You can feel that everything fits snugly and securely. And it's not bad looking either. Nice.

P.S. The Volvo still smells a little from my trip to the horse ranch. Sorry, fellow editors.

I would hope everything feels tight since this thing doesn't have all that many miles on it.

to get rid of the smell the best thing to do is take half a bag of charcoal (the less refined the better) and put that into a paper box with some holes cut in the top and near the top of the sides. the charcoal will absorb the smell and the charcoal won't be messy because of the box. we use it in our cars when we can't get the crude smell out and it works perfectly.

How does it feel compared to the Audi A4 Avant? I'm assuming that the Audi would be the benchmark.

Everytime I see the interior I like it more and more....by far the best looking interior of the IL fleet IMO.

I love the interior of this car, except for the steering wheel. That thing is vanilla, thick, and ugly.
