
I don't know of any other place where you can actually have a conversation with other drivers on the highway.
I was stopped in rush hour traffic on the freeway. The car next to me started tooting his horn. I ignored him at first. Women are used to this sort of thing. But he was persistent.
Finally, I looked over and he motioned for me to roll down my window. He wants to cut in front of me, I figured. OK, down goes the window a few inches.
"Is that electric?" he asked.
"Yes, it is electric," I said perking up and remembering that the Mini E is covered with little yellow pacman-like plug images.
"How do you like driving it? etc. etc. etc." We discussed the range and how it drives.
Traffic started moving.
The only other cars I've had freeway conversations about were the Nissan GT-R, Audi R8 and Smart Fortwo.
It's nice to see the Mini E get attention and not just from other Mini owners.
