I like driving the Dodge Ram. I like barreling along the freeway. I like blocking the sun with its massiveness. But I don't like running errands in the Ram. Duh, right?
But sometimes you have to. I needed to make a post office run this morning. Maneuvering around my sleepy beach community is not easy. Some of the streets are tiny.
Jumping out of the Ram and climbing back into the Ram when you are only 5'4" tall is pretty hilarious. Now that's something I should video.
By the way, the parts are in and we're scheduled to have the Rambox liners fixed on Thursday.

P.S. Check out that sweet yellow Chevelle in the parking lot.

Oh yeah, parking is a bear. Definitely cannot turn in and park between two vehicles unless it's angled parking.

I'm only 5' 3" and my F150 has a 2" lift kit so the Ram is not as bad as you make it out to be.
Also because you don't drive the Ram or full size truck everyday most streets feel tiny and most parking spots seem unusable.
In time you would get used to where the truck is and be able to park anywhere.

I don't understand threads like this as you know ahead of time that the vehicle is large. However, it's not as bad as people constantly complaining about the poor gas mileage of their full size SUVs and pickups, I hear this all the time from people. Didn't they know that these types of vehicles consume large amounts of fuel BEFORE they purchased?

Yeah, it just takes some getting used to. I used to tool around in my parent's bigass full-size van back in the day, and got to the point where I could park that thing on a bike rack

I love the new Dodge Ram. My son is seriously considering one now that his 09 Toyota Tundra is in the shop again, for universal joints and an oil leak. He is getting to be pretty good friends with the service manager at the Toyota dealership. He said he is spending more time there than with his children now. I just hope he sell it before he gets killed in it like that California State Trooper and his family. I would dred getting that phone call.

It seems many pictures that Edmunds submits have vintage cars in the background. Is there still that many oldies cruising the streets down south? I'm envious. The road salt ruins these cars in the great white north :( If I lived down there I wouldn't be driving a new car. Give me something with some character. A 1960's or 1970's American musclecar........ 1970 Torino GT maybe?

It's a '67 Chevelle SS396. One of my fave years for that model. Apart from the non-stock color, blacked-out grille and missing grille frame trim, it does look pretty solid.
