Last night on my way home I was singing along to the showtunes on channel 77 On Broadway. Then much to my dismay the station went silent.
This happens from time to time with satellite radio. It blanks out when you go under a bridge or sometimes when you're close to the beach. But it usually bounces back after a few seconds.
Nothing.
I tried another station. Frank Sinatra? Nothing. Then I got the message above. I guess our subscription ran out in the middle of my commute. Or something is wrong.
I'll let the Mikes know. I need my Seth Rudetsky fix.

I thought all BMW 7 series come with 1 year complimentary Sirius subscription?
Is BMW cheap to even offer that???

Now Donna, let's not get greedy, you already get to drive around in a 7 series for free ;)
Did you try the playboy channel?
Seriously though, at least it gives you the number, with the option to call right from the car. I'm surprised it doesn't come with a free year or so.

I'm surprised you don't get some sort of warning that the subscription is about to lapse.

"The calls are coming from inside the car!!"

@bankerdanny: When my XM was about to expire I was inundated with letters from them to renew, so an owner would get that type of warning, even if the actual vehicle does not warn you.

Maybe it didn't run out. Perhaps there is something wrong. We'll find out. -- Donna

I Seth Rudetsky, but I wish he would s-l-o-w d-o-w-n sometimes. He talks with the speed of a junior high valley girl (and I mean that in a good way, sort of).

that should say "I heart Seth Rudetsky."

You should leave the ESN unblurred, maybe a kind reader would buy you a christmas present :)

I had Sirius installed by the dealer on the last two BMW's I owned and both lost signal if you even waved your hand in the direction of the antenna. Yet another example of how BMW can screw up something so simple.....

Yeah I'm a Sirius subscriber, and I get letters from them a month or so before it expires asking if you want to renew.

Sirius Canada renews both my radios automatically. No letters or emails. I find out when I get the credit card statement.

Hey what do you want for 90K? Free radio? You guys expect so much.

@bodyblue,
"Hey what do you want for 90K? Free radio? You guys expect so much."
You do get free HD radio. Which is pretty cool actually.

It's no longer a one-year free subscription, only 90-day's now. A lot of car companies that offer Sirius have the same deal now too.
Went shopping for cars for my aunt and the same deal from Lexus, Infiniti, Cadillac and even Honda.
