2009 Audi A4 Avant: Can't Believe It's Been A Year

Milestone Banner 717  2009 audi a4 at 20K

Recently, our long-term Audi A4 Avant crossed the 20,000-mile mark. I was surprised to discover that it's already been here for more than a year (we introduced it back in November 2008). Maybe it's because I've only driven it a few times, but I still think of the A4 as one of the newer cars in the fleet.

Happy Birthday, Triple A.

Interesting that the Audi only have 20K miles on it. It was just posted that the FX50 has 27K. Does the number of miles relate to how much the editors liked the vehicle? Despite what is said, the # of miles is directly related to observed behavior rather than self-report and written opinion. I've not read much, if anything bad about the Audi, but why aren't there more miles? Also, does it feel as tightly put together after 20K as the FX?

I seriously doubt this car would ever see the right side of that speedometer, even on a dyno. What's the point of a 180-mph speedometer on a car that's probably governed at 120?
