I can see how the little bit of blue on the side would when reflected would give you the idea that yes someone is in your blind spot since not too many cars have such a bright color behind the driver.
Either or Honda is messing with our mind somehow probably with the Green/Blue Eco light.

I can see how the blue color and the irregular shapes would mess with your perception.
I always think there's someone in my blind spot, but it turns out it's just the tail fin. I love 1950s motoring!
