When I first saw the seat belt strap on our 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, I couldn't help but remember those old Members Only jackets from the 80s. To this day I can't look at the seats without a laugh.

I probably shouldn't admit this, but years and years ago I had a "fake" Members Only jacket that came from JC Penny. It was called "Contour."
Is there anything un-cooler than a knock-off of an uncool jacket?

Wow, those iPods look clunky, even though they came out, what, in 2001? How did you find such a picture?

Actually the one on the right looks fairly new...at least newer than the jacket!

The sewn-on Airbag tag really makes it.

My wife has a coworker who is a high school math teacher, and he used to be a electrical engineer. Combine the stereotypical HS math teacher and middle-aged EE and you'll know what he looks like.
Anyway she told me that his students were all swooning over his "Members Only" jacket the other day, and were amazed by the unexpected coolness of their teacher.
Little did the kids know he bought the jacket more than a decade before his students were born. Nor did he know why the kids were so excited about his 25-year-old jacket.

LMAO @ bkochuk: I had a Members Only knockoff too, only the brand was called "L'autre Mode", and it was from a different department store (probably the now-defunct May Company).
Oh, and I dunno...I think the leather seatbelt strap in the Camaro is classier than a molded plastic piece.

Those look like 5th generation iPods....so from 2005-2007/8. You can tell from the finish on the black one and the color screen on the white one.

I'll say this about IPODS, my older one has been MUCH more reliable than the newer ones my Son always has to have. It's bigger physically for sure, but it works like a charm.

The Toyota Solara has the same style of seat belt straps to. The Camaro's are much cleaner looking. The Toyota's look like someone got the measurements wrong.

How about an uncool knock-off of a once cool car.

I don't see how the new Camaro is any less (or more) cool then any previous generation of Camaro.
The people who love them will love this one just as much and those who don't will still laugh at it.... just like it has always been for the last 4 decades.
