Ever want to know what it's like to ride in a GT-R on the highway?
Well, yeah, that pretty much sums it up.
Driving north on highway 5, I saw this truck hauling a black GT-R and though the picture would be cool. With the shutter of my point-and-shoot set at 1/100 and with a wide focal length it should've been pretty sharp, afterall, it was a fairly bright morning. Well, it's not...and yes, I was in COMF.
*Kurt Niebuhr just saw the picture and added this: Yeah, it kinda does ride like that. Like it's being hung off the back of a truck."

Worth it.
Does anyone actually buy vehicles in this price range with this extreme performance with the expectation of a nice, soft ride?
Anyone who drops this kind of cash on a GT-R or a Z06 ought to expect what's coming. If you want to spend $80,000 on a vehicle that is plush and easy going shouldn't expect to be a track monster. It's a two way street.

It amazes me how often you guys take photos while driving. On a bust freeway to boot. Pretty dumb idea.

How does a Lamborghini Gallardo or a Ferrari F430 ride on the highway?
Let's do some apples to apples comparison.

The car is nicknamed Godzilla. It's not a butt-massager. It's a butt-destroyer.

@slickersdrip: When it has a mode that says "Comfort" for the suspension Yes.
@billt9: They ride like Caddies compared to GT-Rs, it's what all that extra $$$ goes towards.

Comfort is relative. If you expect a Buick-esque ride in a car like this you're buying the wrong car. Won't say it's not a shame you can't have all worlds with this vehicle, but at this price range with the level of performance that this provides, I don't expect a comfortable ride.
That said if I had this kind of money, there isn't a chance in Hell that I'd drop it on this car or a new Z06. I'd get something else that would have more compromise between comfort and performance. Probably a full optioned Grand Sport Corvette Convertible with a six speed manual or a Cayman S.

Ah, the back of a transport truck. The nature home for the GT-R.

A Cayman S or a base Carrera is probably a much better all-rounder. But I think people see "Nissan" on the GT-R and assume it ought to be a worry-free utility player, albeit with hellish performance.

Actually, I believe the air-ride suspension on the trailer of the big rig helps dampen the ride of the GT-R :)
