You asked how the Mazda 6 compares to its competitors.
I ran this simple calculation through my favorite tool on the Edmunds.com site. I went to the 2009 Mazda 6 i Grand Touring page, then clicked on Compare Popular Models. Then I opened up all the fields.

This list seems a bit unfair. The 6 is a high spec. model while the competitors you have chosen are the fairly basic models. Thus, the pricing looks way higher on the 6.

Definitely an unfair comparison, especially since some of the cons of the competitors (stability control being unavailable on the '09 Altima) have been addressed for 2010.

That's why I said you can customize that chart however you like. Swap in/out any car you want to compare and you can choose the style level, too. -- Donna

Which Malibu did you research? The 4 cylinder Malibu with the 6 speed automatic has a 0-60 time of 8.7 seconds, and has mileage of 22/33. You might want to update your report or else face the bias charge again :)
