I'm pretty sure there was a post about this when you first picked up the FX

Those are the same wiper and headlight stalks too...
also found in an Altima or Maxima.
It's perfectly acceptable- I have yet to use better.

I really enjoy the switch-gear on Nissans. Having owned a few vehicles and driving at least one rental a week for 3 years now, I still enjoy getting in a nissan and having the switch-gear make sense and operate with a good feel. From the Versa to the FX50 and the 370 to the M45, I really enjoy Nissan's interior touch. I've yet to try out the GTR (not holding my breath) nor the Maxima - I really like the way the new Maxima looks. Too bad its not RWD and or AWD, but that's not the mission of the car.

Yep. Same magnesium shift paddles as our '09 G37, as well. Absolutely terrific! We had (of course) test driven the 328 & 335 with their respective wheel-mounted shifters. Those poor things aren't even in the same league. Vague, plastic and hard to find when spinning the wheel for a sharp turn.
As has also been mentioned, the rest of the switch-gear, in fact, every single button in our G is just perfectly weighted. I am especially impressed with the "action" on the window switches. There's a perfect delineation between partial, and full auto. So few cars get close to that, one of the worst being the Pontiac G8 we also tested.
