2009 Honda Fit Sport: Attitude Change

I don't know how many nights I've driven our Honda Fit. Both this and the previous Fit we've owned. One thing has always stood out to me: the knobby shifter.

It kinda feels like a hot rod style pool ball shifter when palmed so I think giving it an Eight Ball shifter would "toughen up" its wimpy demeanor. Give it a fun attitude spark, even if in reality it's still the Chihuahua yapping at the big dogs.

You should totally do that!

I think it'd look cheesy.

And a Chihuahua yapping at the big dogs at least doesn't eat nearly as much dog food...

This would seem more appropriate on one of your muscle cars.

A Magic Eight Ball would be better...

The slobbering over the Fit is getting really bad. Maybe the tranny wont crap out on this one if you get the shifter ball.

Love the Magic Eight Ball comment!

That's funny, I actually custom-made a Jack-O-Lantern knob for my '09 orange fit 5spd. The stock knob looked stupid, and the little orange revolution pumpkin staring back at me is much more fun.

So... changing the shifter will give the Fit more go? Hrm... Maybe I'll try this in a sport car before a 1/4 mile run.

So the 8 ball shift adds what 50 HP and 100+ TQ? LOL!
