So far we've only had good things to say about our new Volvo XC60.
You seem to like it a lot, too. You like its looks, the wood around the center stack, the gauges and more.
And the good people at Volvo have decided to let us keep it longer than planned.
There is still plenty to talk about so let's give the 2010 Volvo XC60 a shot at car of the week.

Hopefully Volvo has a marketing budget of more than $15 for this thing. It's really good and I know the safety is well above federal mandates but this effort will be worthless if no one knows about it.

How about a C30 for the fleet? You have had lots of Minis. Anyway the XC60 is so neat looking inside and out. I am looking at a V50....I just dont need AWD and a turbo. They have a lot of incentives right now. Also the warranty is one of the very best.

OK, so it's a very nicely done crossover. But the market is full of nicely done crossovers, from the RAV4 to the Enclave, with a lot of stops in between.
I'm still not clear on why this is better than a V50, for those who want a wagonish Volvo, or a RAV4, for those who want a sporty crossover, or a Flex, for those who want utility with style and class.

Stephen--I think the Volvo is more of a stylish SUV that can haul the family and do occasional trips to the hardware store rather than an SUV designed to haul the family around and haul lumber and THEN be stylish.
To me, the SUVs you listed accomplish different jobs in different ways and appeal to vastly different people. Asking one to do everything is probably pushing it.

The V50 although classy, and nice is tiny on the inside just like the S40. The XC60 is executed with more thought than either Enclave or RAV-4. Nothing really looks unfinished or without thought (Besides the carried over Navi).

U simply cannot compare the toyoplastic rav4 with this volvo, come on, who said that? Who cares anyway about nonsense.
