It's a little too busy for me - I would prefer that one or the other was solid of either color.

Nay. Seems a bit over done IMO. Reminds me of the Gateway computers "cow box" logo. Other than that I love the interior.

I like it alot, and I usually don't like THIS much two tone action. I think it looks very elegant in this application!

I definitely love the two tone leather effect. Good stuff.

I do like it but I think I'd eventually get tired of it if I owned it.

I like it a lot. But I know a lot of people hate 2-tone interiors.

Stunning.

Although I do love it, I do wonder how easily the light beige would get dirty. My car has a beige interior and keeping it pristine has been somewhat of a challenge, its doable just a kind of a pain. And that light beige is very very light.

Personally, I think it gives the car a bit of a cheap flair to the car. This seems like something I would find in a Scion, Mitsubishi, Kia, or Dodge.
But, I was checking out my local inventory online, and I stumbled upon this:
http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tracktype=newcc&csDlId=&csDgId=&listingId=30996917&listingRecNum=1&criteria=sf1Dir%3DDESC%26mkId%3D20044%26stkTyp%3DN%26mdId%3D22379%26kwm%3DANY%26rd%3D100000%26crSrtFlds%3DstkTypId-feedSegId-mkId-mdId%26zc%3D21030%26rn%3D0%26PMmt%3D1-1-0%26stkTypId%3D28880%26sf2Dir%3DASC%26sf1Nm%3Dprice%26kw%3Dgreen%26sf2Nm%3Dlocation%26rpp%3D50%26feedSegId%3D28705&aff=national
I truly don't think it can really get any worse....

I think two-tone interiors are absolutely beautiful. Too many cars have monotone interiors which almost make things blend together. Now, that might not be too bad if it is pulled off correctly, but I think it makes the interior of a car a better place to be if there is some variety in color. I'm not saying there needs to be as much contrast between the colors as pictured here, but even different shades could work out well if done properly.
I saw a two-tone interior in a Passat CC today and it was quite appealing to the eye. I think it gave it a very classy appearance and appeal.
That said, I love the two-tone interior in the XC-60 too.

Yea for looks.
Nay with regards to practicality of ownership. I'm not sure the white would age well.

It looks nice. The most important part is that the high traffic area's like the carpet and outside bolstering are of the dark color.

I'm tired of agreeing with hondacura4.
The interior is neat, but I think I'd hate it after a while.

Love it more than I love Cinnamon Life cereal...and I LOVE Cinnamon Life. Nothing bugs me more than a drab, single tone interior. I spend all my time in the interior(with the exception of James Bond moments), why not make it interesting.

I like the color scheme but the seats look like vinyl in all the photos I've seen of the XC60. Something about them seems off. Never seen the interior in person though...

mieden says:

While two-tone treatments with contrasting stitching are definitely appealing, I'm more concerned with the cheaply molded interior door panel and exposed door frame. Isn't the XC60 an entry luxury vehicle?

It looks great but maybe it's on the wrong type of car. It would be nice in a sports sedan.

It a bit out there but very Volvo. Its odd the Ivory bits are mostly where human contact would happen on a regular basis (steering wheels of course, grab handles, where your bum goes) and the Charcoal seems to make up mostly non-contact surfaces (head rests aside).
Contrasting stitching is very cool (ex. M3), as is seat piping (ex. Range Rover).
Volvo seems to like to be edgy with it seats like the oranges and blues that could be had on the S60 R and the almost "cracking" design bit on XC90 Sport models.
Overall, thumbs up for being different!

All this talk about seat color and I can't help but look at the two indents in the middle of the seat back. What was resting against it?

Saw this interior color first-hand at last weeks OC Auto Show and loved it. I'm happy to see a little visual excitment in the environment we spend the most time while motoring.

Absolute win. I think it's beautiful, although I would probably go crazy trying to keep such a light interior clean for several years. But this is so much nicer than the monotonous interiors of most cars, including expensive ones.
I even like the two-tone treatment in the Mercury Milan!
audisport says:

I like it alot, but that light beige is lighter than the light beige in my A4. This is a bad thing, because it's hard to keep clean.
BUT, I prefer it to the all black interior of my last A4. Way too dark and somber. The light beige I have now makes the interior feel much bigger although the rest of the interior is identical.
I think Volvo makes this look good and not cheap, and like previously noted, they did a good job by keeping the carpets a darker color.

I think its very visually appetizing and it does remind me of the Passat CC interior (which is also very attractive) but when it comes to everyday practicality a two tone interior loses its appeal - especially when it uses light colors which will likely show wear early.
kurtamaxxxguy says:

an attractive concept, but for me a bit too much contrast (black parts will become burning hot in the sun anyway).

Much better than the Lexus IS C with the blue/white interior.
