Our long-term Chevy Camaro SS hit 5,000 miles this morning. Thus far, it's been trouble free other than an intermittant airbag service light. We've added oil and there's been a service bulletin involving a loose spoiler, freezing HVAC system and the engine harness rubbing against the heater hose clamps. These aren't recalls but we'll have them looked at when the Camaro eventually goes into service.
We also curbed the right front wheel when driving it home from the dealership, which is mostly to blame on the driver, but the Camaro's visibility certainly didn't help matters.

Curbing tires on a brand new car! Man that's not good. Then again I remember doings so in my first car (Acura Integra Type-R).

A scraped wheel would really bother me, as it says I'm a careless driver who can't place the four corners of my car.
At least the wheel can be repaired without buying a whole new one.

Its more reliable than the GTR but it lacks the video game console inspired interior that makes the Nissan so cool and mature looking inside.

You are right 1487. I was expecting a pushrod used in a number of other models that was built on new platform to break down. GM has built a worthy new car.
And just LOOK at the guages! You won't find those beauties in a lowly Nissan. No siree!

137 miles to go on about half a tank? I didn't think any cars except the Suzuki and the Evo couldn't top 300 on a tank.

Where did that come from?
