I love our 2009 BMW M3, just the way it feels, the way it sounds, the way it drives. It seems like a bit more car than I can handle, though. I'd be wracked with guilt if I owned it and didn't drive it the way it needs to be driven. To me that would be equivalent to keeping a wild animal as a pet -- they'd never get to realize their true potential. This baby does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, 60-0 in 105 feet and slaloms at 70 mph. The average driver, like myself, just wouldn't know what to do with that.
Fortunately, our car gets its share of hard driving so I don't feel as guilty simply enjoying its luxuries like that very effective seat heater, red leather seats and, oh yes, superior passing skills.

That's why you should have bought the 135!

"The average driver, like myself..."
Aren't you a driver on the Eyesore Racing team? If so, that'd make you above average and overly modest :-)

I love the grandpas who clog up the lane with their Porsches and Ferraris. I want to get out of my car and beat them with their own canes and walkers at times but I appreciate that they don't they to show me what their cars can do by staying within the limits of their own driving ability. Some of these so called super cars never clocked above 75 mph. As long as it tickles them just to own one, I guess I am fine with it. I just can't stand pimply kids with M3s and Z cars who drive like idiots and end up wrapping themselves around lamp posts. I believe in more lamp posts for that reason and wish there were more sharp turns with lamp posts in the apex. World is getting over populated and we should let evolution run its natural course.

Yes that's great and all but we really want to hear something about the CTS-V yet again. Could some people please post about it? I'd want to hear how every sentence in this entry compares to the CTS-V. In fact, just writing "CTS-V" repeatedly would suffice as well.

I would rather have the 135i. I felt like I could place it on a dime, whereas the M3 I could place on a quarter. It's more toss-able, less grand tourer. It's like my old E36 M3 with more oomph and better brakes. The steering ratio in the M3 seemed to be telepathically perfect though.

I'm actually thinking of going with an E30 M3. I miss the S38 in my old 1988 M6 and the S14 is equally sweet. I also just love the overall feel of the car; it's obvious that the first M3 was a race car dialed back a bit for the street. That said, I also found a nice E36 M3 sedan- all original with only 60K miles...

I'd be perfectly happy having this wild beast chained up in my garage.
I'd also be happy with a 135i, as well.

No need for this kind of posts to remind everyone how good and great this ultimate driving machine is, but hey, keep it coming if she deserves it. Could I be happy with a girly 1 series (no matter the engine) vrs an M3 sedan? Come on, dont make me laugh hahaha. I`ll remaing out of that club, thanks.

I'm glad to be reminded how every vehicle pales in comparison to BMW's sedans. Too bad I wanted a 2 door coupe.
