I recently drove a V6 version of the new Camaro, it's actually quite good. Before you start name calling, keep in mind this one has 304 hp - that's the base or LT engine. Opt for a Mustang GT - you know the V8 Mustang? You'll get 315 hp. I think the V6 Camaro is perfectly acceptable - would I rather have the SS? Sure but a very well equipped LT would run about $30k. Our long termer is more than $40k.

2011 Mustang will have a 315 hp V6 and a 400+ hp V8. Plus, its better looking and has a much nicer interior.

I think the Camaro is better looking than the Mustang by a mile, but the engine choices, as mentioned by zoomzoom22 for the Mustang will likely persuade me to fall on the Mustang side of the argument.
When I went to the UT/Tech game on Saturday I saw three different yellow Camaros... one with black stripes and "BUMBLE BEE" written in shoe polish on the back windshield.
For some reason I just couldn't bring myself to buy a V6 Camaro or Mustang. I hate to play into stereotypes, but I just flat out couldn't be seen in one. Like how I couldn't manage being seen in a Neon, but having the SRT-4 trim somehow I can deal with it...

I think the locomotives in the background have better paint and specs. The paint scheme speaks for itself, but the engine in those things... a GM V-16 diesel producing 3800hp. That will get America moving.

I used to think the same way slickersdrip, about a V6 Camaro. Then I realized that we are talking about 304 horsepower.
I now have no problem having a V6 Camaro or Mustang, if the new Mustang does have 315 horsepower out of the V6 model.
