I'd like to see the actual trunk and usefulness of it.

You know I guess I just now realized that the Camaro is a really weird looking car. Like some kind of 1998 concept car that made it straight to production.
Still, one of the most unique cars on the road. At least for another six months or so.

Unique is a nice way of saying it. It is fugly... but at least someone at GM is awake and trying...kudos to them.

I have seen plenty of them here in Western PA. I can live with the exterior, but that interior makes me want to drop a lit match in the gas tank.

I've seen many of them and I'm still turning my head and swirving off the road to see one.
That being said, when I was golfing on the weekend I saw a yellow one parked at the clubhouse. In among all the other random vehicles in that parking lot, including my Kia Soul, it really occurred to me just how cartoonish it looks. I don't think I would have felt that way if it was a Challenger or Mustang.
I think perhaps the bright yellow didn't help.

I have seen at least 10 so far. Just saw a black SS last week.

"Have you driven one? Seen one on the road?"
Not driven, but I've seen enough to develop pinched nerve from all the staring. I don't know what car you people are looking at, but I think this is the best looking car to come out of GM in a long time.

It might be boring, but I'd like to see someone sitting in a rear seat to gauge how much (or little) room there actually is back there.

Does it have a top speed limiter on it?

I really want to like this car, I have not driven one but looked at them a couple of times, once just this past weekend. I have to say the proportions are better than the Challenger, but I would actually go for the Mustang first then the Challenger over the Camaro. I think when Ford comes out with the 400hp engine for the Mustang, Camaro sales will tank.

Can you drive 155mph+ and see if the front cracks up :-D ?

I worked at a Chevy dealership over the summer and was the first person to drive a new SS 6-speed and have to say that the torque available in first gear is amazing. Later I took an Auto onto a deserted stretch to test it further...it's been a long time since I was frightened by how fast I had accelerated. 426hp for 35k seems like a bargain.
I would like to know how much use you can get out of that trunk. The opening was as small as a mail slot and the actual trunk itself wasn't very wide nor deep. Golf clubs would have to ride up front for sure.

Drove the V6. Would love to drive an SS. The looks don't really bother me anymore. I love how they gave the tailpipes an integrated look through the rear fascia.
Should have standard back-up sensors and/or rear camera. Having to parallel park one is a joke!
Let's see a good burnout/doughnuts video.

Can we see a picture from the driver's perspective looking out from the cockpit? I want to know if you actually have an impaired sense of speed due to the low roof line of the windshield?

How does it drive compared to the 06 GTO?
Remember, the GTO was the last GM V8 Coupe and the most direct predecessor to the Camaro as the Camaro rides on the chassis replacement for the GTO. In other words, how has the Camaro improved on the previous platform?

Where's the Sonic? There are only a couple here in SoCal. The one in Fullerton and the one in Victorville.

Is the visibility really *that* bad? As a point of reference, I drive a Civic Si coupe and the forward angle of the windshield and thick pillars don't give it the greatest forward visibility, and the coupe design doesn't give it the greatest rearward visibility. How does the Camaro's visibility compare with the Si's and that of other sporty coupes?

This car is seriously the dumbest looking thing on the road.

jeepstr,
I'm with you on preferring the Mustang, I prefer it now and if Ford actually brings the 400hp engine we've read about all the better.
But I don't think that Ford's actions with the Mustang will have a major impact on the Camaro. When it comes to the revived Pony car wars, there are still pretty clear lines drawn in the sand. You are a Ford guy, a Chevy Guy, or a Dodge guy. There will be some cross-shopping to be sure, but not enought that a 400hp Mustang GT will steal significant sales from the Camaro SS.

@jcal50:
I own an SS...so I'll put it this way:
Visibility is kind of an odd issue with the Camaro...it's not that you can't see, but the bunker view gives the initial impression that you can't, resulting in a lot of initial trepidation.
After adjusting my mirrors properly, I don't have any issues with seeing out of the car....although with the high sills and hood finding the corners for parking is tougher than my old Civic.
Eventually, as with all cars, you get a feel for where the car is, and the Camaro is nice and communicative (at least as compared to my Civic)...steering is neutral to a fault in this car, and the feel of the brakes is absolutely phenomenal. I drive the auto (whatever, it's my only car for navigating Tampa Traffic (tm)), which I have found to be awesome...in 'Sport' mode (achieved by putting it in M mode but not touching the paddles), downshifts are almost instantly tied to throttle input from a cruise, and it holds the lower gear for a while even after you let off it...giving the car a very satisfying "snappy" feel on the highway.
