Donna,
Your writing indicates a lack of ideas and a general sense of malaise.
Perhaps a long vacation or change of career would help.
It's not too late to pursue your dream.
Here's my question: is it fast?

Donna-
Has it been dyno'd?
Dr Burke-
Your double post indicates a general sense of confusion at teh intartubes.
Perhaps a long vacation from, or complete abandonment of, commenting would prove helpful.

What is the endgame/goal with regards to your project?

drburke - kissel, this stuff isn't funny.
Donna - would you recommend the car, in either this configuration or stock, compared to a WRX or a MS3 or another in this ricer class? Everyone knows it is fast, but have the mods made it better or worse in your opinion?

Dr Burke,
You writing indicates a need to impart upon us that you are a doctor and somehow this qualifies you to personally sharp shoot members of this online publication. Perhaps a sharp blow to the head would be helpful. It's not to late to save us from your pompous posts.

How does the gearshift feel? I'm interested in one, but so far have only been able to drive the TC-SST and found myself missing the oldfashioned manual.

Is there a running tally of the total cost of the mods done on the GSR?
ihatemyxb says:

With all the mods done on the Evo X how would it compare to doing the same mods on the Evo 9. I truly want to know which after mods is the better Evo.

Eventually all tuners switch out the stock turbo. To make your Evo knuckle blistering fast you should switch out the stock turbo for Agency Powers GT35R twin scroll turbo kit see and if your GT-R eating Evo still remains a daily driver.

How does the car feel when power shifting?
The older evo's, it felt like the diff hit you in the back of the head. Any better in the X?
Also if there is rear end clunck when power shifting, do you guys plan to get some poly or soild mounts for the diff?

Which Evo do you prefer the MR or GSR? Is it capable of being a everyday car with or without the mods? What would you chose over it for the same fun in the same price range?

Are you guys going to sell this car after 1 year of ownership? WHEN ARE YOU GONNA RUN THIS AGAINST THE GTR?!?
slowevo says:

GT35R for the street? Its not a bad choice, but you keep the relatively stock drivability which power, you can use an FP Red, add a little meth, and your good to go. Plus i believe the EVO X has the same place for the intercooler spary in the trunk, so you can put the meth tank there.

According to a previous post by Josh Sadlier:

The Evo GSR seems not catching fire among the editors. It'll be interesting to hear the reasons from all the editors who are participating in the LT test on why that's the case.
Thanks.

Louiswei--Probably because it's not a true daily driver. It's a tuner/toy that you take out to have fun. It's probably too raw using it as a family hauler/grocery getter.

Let's get it on the track and record some lap times! I would like to volunteer my services to do so as well. :o)

"How does the gearshift feel? I'm interested in one, but so far have only been able to drive the TC-SST and found myself missing the oldfashioned manual."
I said a few words about this in a recent post (see link below), and so did Ed in an earlier post that I linked to. Check it out.

@chucks84
The shift action is pretty good. It might just be our gearbox, but engagement is a bit notchy. Having said that, you do get used to it and I happen to like the higher effort required to change gears. the only think I don't like is the pygmy baseball shift knob.
@slowevo
As I don't drag race, I don't powershift.
waevox says:

@kurt_
A lot of owners on the evo forums have been complaining about the notchy-ness.
I found it's pretty bad in the mornings when the car has been sitting for a while. Once the gearbox has been spinning for 10 to 20 blocks, the gears engage pretty smoothly.

I think I've skipped over every EVO thread recently. When are you guys getting a new long-term car to replace the dearly-departed M3? (;
ihatemyxb says:
03:06 PM, 08/18/09
Now that the M3 is gone now would be a great time to get a car from the great cars under 20k, maybe an Evo 9
