You can connect your iPod to the 2010 Honda Insight using the USB adapter cable located in the center storage compartment.
Our Insight is equipped with the navigation system. Its touchscreen makes controlling your iPod very easy.
Here's a video showing how to "navigate" your music.
We'll be exploring the 2010 Honda Insight as car of the week. And we'll get editor Brian Moody to do a full stereo evaluation soon.
Tell us about the entertainment features in your car.

My daily driver has a single CD player, AM/FM radio. Allegedly it has six speakers, counting the separate tweeters, but it sounds terribly muffled at anything less than 75% of full volume. I've often wondered if Honda left out an amp connection somewhere.
Looking forward to an upgrade--a new car, with bluetooth and an iPod connection. More wattage would be nice too. I hope the Insight has better sound than my Civic.

That system does look very cool, and also makes the ones in my cars look pretty archaic now, since they don't have the nice graphical touch screens, don't do iPods, etc.

My 2003 SRT-4 has an awful single disc CD player. It skips disks all the time (the same CD's will play perfectly well in other cars) and I can turn the volume up all the way and still not exactly get my ears blown out, to say the least. It also sounds like listening to a concert in a tin can, thanks to the quality of the speakers.
I installed an iPod integration unit myself and it's alright, as it works straight through an AUX lead and my iPod controls it.

That looks pretty neat. My 2010 Kia Soul has a single CD, 6 speaker (4 + 2 tweeters) setup that sounds half decent considering its a base model. It has aux and USB input and can control iPod through the stereo with the right cable. Right now, I love the Aux because a USB key is handy and less of a theft target. I definitely think USB should be standard on more vehicles.

95 Accord with FM/AM Casette and factory CD player (shocked me too). After doing some research, it has 6 Bose Branded Speakers. 2 in front doors, 2 behind the rear seats, and 2 at the base of the A Pillar along the windshield.
Overall, very nice sound for its age! Much better than quite a few newer cars I've been in if I must say so myself. Excellent Base despite not having a sub. More surprisingly is that I have no blown speakers (but one is on its way out). Casette Player works great to hookup my friends iPods (My Zune got stolen :() and the CD player even plays burned CDs and never skips, ever in the 3years I've owned the car.
For a 95, I think the Audio is THE most impressive part of my car. Next would be the engine itself. Other than that, its time for a new car! Only 2weeks wait time left! w00t!
