What is the gauge start up like? Like a Corvette or a Subaru?

heh I know that the video's audio quality isn't as good as listening with your own ears, but it starts up like a V6 family sedan.

Why'd you hook up all that fancy equipment to a vacuum cleaner?

what is that yellow icon in the speedometer?

The bongs sound like a microwave. Just like the Sti subaru123 posted. I don't like that at all.

audisport says:

the yellow icon is the "WARNING: TRANS IS DRAGGING ON GROUND " light.

Sorry to say I walked by a GT-R the other day and even this beast has fake exhaust tips. When is this infatuation with putting 4inch wide tips on every car going to end? (Nissan does this on every model). The worst offenders are the ones where you can plainly see the actual muffler tips sitting within the overly large decorative tips. And don't get me started on the fake tips as part of the bodywork, ie 750i, Ferrari California, Cayenne, LS470. How terribly cheesy.

The yellow icon is the warning that the door is open. -- Donna

Vacuum cleaner!

Sounds like a jet engine

Glad I'm not the only one who went "Vacuum cleaner"

Then again, I don't like turbo's... unless paired to a large oil burner. Nothing quite like a turbo diesel to put a smile on your face.

I love ordinary vids like this. Keep it up!!

You guys should post vids like this of all your cars, along with 0-60 vids, etc. I love them, too.

The GTR is just plain cool, and it sounds like a plane/vacuum thingy. Could use more of an exhaust note at start up, though. My mom's old Odyssey had a better sounding start up noise.

Tower, this is Ghost rider requesting a flyby.

I still love the car, but was horribly disappointed with the start-up sound. :(

Now *this* is a start-up:

I thought the exhaust tips were real on the GTR? All the aftermarket exhausts seem to fit through the same cut-out in the bumper?

throwback says:

Impressive car, but it sounds like a vacum cleaner.

Mitlov says:

That exhaust note is MASSIVELY underwhelming. I'm not asking for something like a Hennessey LS9 Camaro (great video BTW)--I know that the GT-R's supposed to be more quiet and refined than that--but come on, that exhaust gives no hint whatsoever that it's a performance car of any type.
