2008 Pontiac G8 GT and 2008 Cadillac CTS V6: Dealer Differences

G8 Service reciept.jpg

So I get asked all the time, "Hey, what's the difference between dealerships?" "What happens when a dealership has both premium and non-premium brands under the same service roof?" Well, here's a good visual representation for the only difference in service when you bring a premium (Cadillac CTS-- Top) and a non-premium (Pontiac G8 GT -- Bottom) to the same dealer (Martin Cadillac in LA). Notice the difference? That's the only one.

On the G8's invoice, they are trying to upsell a number of services.

the printed "recommended services" does not cover up the logo on the CTS's invoice, whereas the Pontiac people didn't care how the invoice printed out and it covered the address line.

It doesn't even say Pontiac on the bottom one.

I don't really see a difference besides one saying Saab and the other saying Martin.

Now this is just a guess but it also reveals how closely I follow this blog. I know you guys went through quite the hassle with service for the G8 and I noticed the Cadillac sheet has a phone number for appointments. The Pontiac sheet does not appear to have that number listed. Would that be the difference to which you are referring?
