It has been noted numerous times in the long-term blog how our Infiniti FX50 has a firm, some say harsh, ride. It's not too bad for me. But what is odd is that it has a sport suspension switch that degrades the ride quality even further. The only other setting is Auto.
I drove down to San Diego a while back and tried the sport setting on some relatively smooth sections of the 5 and 405. That lasted for about 30 seconds: it was too harsh.
I'm surprised that Infiniti instead did not include a comfort setting; that would be a welcome addition.
BTW, when I drove it last night, the warning telltale lights that Lord Vader noticed no longer appeared. Typical electronics fix? -- power down / power up? We'll keep on eye on it.

Is it harder than a BMW X3 Sport Package?

I leave mine in "Sport" mode all the time, but then again Dubais roads are as smooth as a new-born babys ass :D

That picture above looks awful. Is that an old 1998 Infiniti I30 sedan? *end sarcasm*

I hate blank button plugs... this car cost plenty what could you possibly add? They should have a whole separate fascia at this price. Death to button plugs!

Wow, it can control the weather! I knew that Infiniti had been adding all kinds of electronic gadgets to their vehicles, but I had no idea it went that far.
Want some skiing, or just feeling a little too toasty at the beach? Just set "SNOW" to on!

Infiniti/Nissan and Mazda are particularly big offenders in the blank panel arena.

That fake wood looks like garbage. I would rather even have fake metal, or better yet how about the real thing in such an expensive vehicle.

The "drive-by armchair car reviewer" strikes again with misinformation. Typical of many posters on this site.
It is the real thing. Its handstained maple. Truly amazing how people are so critical when all they see is a poor photograph. In person, it looks much more impressive than what this picture depicts.

I would recommend that Edmunds still takes this in to Infiniti for a diagnostic check. The error code will be stored for only a limited time.

audisport,
That is real maple wood. But audi fans wouldn't know that. As a lesser brand, they are always living in the shadow of BMW and Benz. It's okay if you don't know anything about cars.

Yeah that stuff's real. It actually looks quite nice in person.
Shame about that front end though. The FX, she used to be such a pretty car.
