By now you realize I've discovered the mosaic tool. But some cars are worthy of these multiple beauty portraits.
By now you also realize that the 2009 BMW 750i is car of the week.
With a 400-horsepower V8 and thousands of $$$ worth of goodies, we should have a lot to discuss.

The color of your car is just great. I love BMW blue's.

Love the "fake" exhaust tips.
How come IL never bashed about it but always brought up against the IS F?
Oh I forgot, BMW can do no wrong, since it's on a BMW then it's all good...

Fake exhaust tips on a BMW is wonderful to Edmunds, but on any other car it is a tragedy.
This car looks so bland and uninspired.
Just wait until the interior side sills fall off like on the M3, they will call it "User Error".

Nice exhaust tips BMW.... is it really that hard to make an exhaust tip these days ?... But who am i kidding people who buy these cars could care less where the exhaust is and/or goes ;)

Guys, the exhaust tips have to be "fake" if they're to be integrated so tightly into the bumper. If they were "real" they would melt the bumper cover plastic from the heat. You either have "real" tips with an air gap like on most cars or the fully integrated ones that are "fake".
Louiswei, the IS-F was picked on because the car had 4 tips but only 2 actual exhaust outlets, so I suppose it was "fake-r".
Let the hating begin!

Not really a fan of this cars looks. Its a sad day when there isn't a BMW model I find visually appealing, except perhaps the M3.

Look how narrow the trunk space is between the suspension components. That is ridiculous. Why does a car this large have such a small trunk? Its barely larger than the trunk on the 3 series.

the lexus ls also has fake tips but it's never been mentioned. for that kind of price, most people like the looks more than the functionality. not all but i would take some clean fake exhaust tips that mold into the bumper as opposed to the actual tips sticking out

@ Bimmerjay, you need to check your fact next time before post something so out of the reality like you did above.
The IS F has FOUR (4) ACTUAL exhaust pipes.
See the picture yourself here:

Have have you been during the IS F "fake" exhaust massacre when it first came out?

That's the Lamborghini Murcielago...

Fake tips are propogating on a lot of cars now, love it or hate it. Another reason for it is the exhaust system needs room to move, so having integrated tips that are attached are not practical from an engineering and NVH standpoint.
Louiswei, why the rudeness? This is only a car forum, can we be civil? The preproduction IS-F I saw in person only had 2 tips behind the diffuser baffle.
louiswei says:

"Louiswei, why the rudeness?"
Because everytime there is a discussion about the IS F the "fake" exhaust was always brought up. When other examples like the R8 and Murcielago were given comments like...
"the IS-F was picked on because the car had 4 tips but only 2 actual exhaust outlets, so I suppose it was "fake-r"."
was always immediately followed.
I personally have already corrected that AT LEAST 3 times including yours here in the LT blog. If people are going to ignore the "fact" and keep bashing on the IS F for no other good reasons then I am sorry, my "niceness" isn't reserved for those kind of people.

You know what's really annoying?
People who sarcastically say, "BMW can do no wrong."
If you look around the blogs, Edmunds do criticize BMW. Here's a small list:
The 2002 BMW is expensive to maintain.
The 135i has a sub par interior.
Albert Austria's problems in the 750i.
Or that Scott Oldham preferred the Genesis.
The 2009 BMW M3's trim came off. (The car is new, I'm waiting to see the major problems.)
The gone BMW X5 has the useless back seats.
and etc. and etc.
PS. Bashing on the IS-F is undeserved.

I don't know what fact I was ignoring, and I wasn't bashing the IS-F. I was theorizing on why it was singled out by the press, based on my own experience peeking under the car. Who knows, it may have also been because the stacked outlets draw that much more attention to themselves so it was more obvious. If I'm not mistaken, the production cars also don't have the big gap anymore between the fake and the real tips.

The funny thing is no one here complained about the "fake tips" until this picture surfaced. BMW had you fooled.
I really don't see this as an issue or a problem as it in no way dilutes the cars performance. Fake or real its still twin turbo executive monster.
