2008 Smart Fortwo: My Girl Friday

smart-555.jpg

Taking the whole fam on vacation next week, which means lots of last-minute errands. Airplane entertainment for the eight- and 15-year-olds dictates new coloring books and crayons, strawberry and chocolate Twizzlers, fresh batteries and replacment chargers all around, and a new DVD and DS game in my carry-on just to be safe.

Not enough hours left in the evening to check the items off my to-buy list, which results in daily lunchtime runs.

This week, the 2008 Smart Fortwo is my best friend. Say what you want about its herky-jerky drivetrain. When you need to hit four Santa Monica stores in one hour, three of which have only street parking, the Smart will be your BFF, too.

As long as all of your purchases can fit in your purse or briefcase, yes.

Chocolate Twizzlers. That seriously sounds like the most disgusting food.

Most foods can be improved by the addition of either chocolate or garlic. But no food has ever been improved by the addition of both.

Me? I think I'd prefer Garlic Twizzlers if I had to eat Twizzlers at all. Fortunately, Garlic Twizzlers do not exist.

This car is small and parking seems a breeze with its size advantage and plus they offer parking sensors for those who find it a constant chore. I can't get over the fact it causes too much unnecessary attention and people call it a toy car. so much for making an attempt to go mature. At least its gas friendly but rather take the Fit over this any day.

You can say the same thing about a Golf Cart.

Thanks stephen. I just threw-up in my mouth thinking about garlic twizzlers. Yuck.

So Kelly, would you have preferred the Fit to this if you had the choice?

With all that stuff to buy, could it all fit in the Smart??

Did you try parking tail-in in a parallel parking spot again?
