2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X MR: Road Trippin'

Once again, I traveled a good distance in the MR, but this time it was for work. I did a straight shot east on interstate 10 for about 400 miles.

The MR was a caged beast this time 'round due to the large presence of speed cameras in Arizona. I thought I could just try to relax and enjoy the satellite radio, but the subscription ran out before I left LA. DAMN! Nothing but static for the majority of the drive through no-mans land (aka the Palm Desert).

Thankfully in Arizona I was able to let off some steam and get a little sideways.

Great pictures! I log on everyday to see if there is a new post for our the MR. Any chance of getting a COBB or similar reflash for it? The forums are abuzz with claims of more torque and HP, plus better MPG!

The cameras are a joke, and need to go!
http://camerafraud.wordpress.com/

A study conducted by Arizona State University found that overall, accidents have INCREASED along the portions of freeways that installed the cameras, as people slam on the brakes, or everyone drives ten to fifteen mph under the limit on the freeway.

AAA even named Arizona 'a state whose routes to avoid if possible' because it became such a camera surveillance state.

Plus the Arizona republic said that unless a ticket is served in person within two months, it is not valid and dismissed, a charge upheld in the supreme court. Add on top of that the Arizona republic printed a story that on average, the state only sees 4-5 dollars per ticket after they pay REDflex, the Australian firm who built them.

AND THEN the state wants to install 350 more throughout the Phoenix area, costing taxpayers $275 MILLION DOLLARS in a recession! http://ktar.com/?nid=6&sid=1112673

If the cameras aren't making us safe, and violate the freedom of travel act, they need to go! Please help those poor folks in Arizona!

Is this going to end up like the mazda6 and have some plastic trim below the engine torn off?

If those poor folks in Arizona don't want devices like red light & speed cameras, they need to wake up and stop voting for the people who implement them. Much like the rest of the country that needs to wake up and stop sending idiots to Washington who grow the bureaucracy and make the problems worse, while creating new ones.
