2009 Suzuki SX4: Visibility

car-of-the-week-banner2.jpg

Here is a view from the driver's seat of the 2009 Suzuki SX4.

The triangular-shaped windows in the front really help when making turns, especially left turns. Airbags have really bloated the A pillars in modern cars. Suzuki does a nice job.

Thank you so much. This answers my question about blind spots for all us visual learners...

Unfortunately those funky windows are not very attractive from the outside. Specifically the way that the mirror attaches to the front door because of them. I think the mirrors would have looked much better if they were attached to the doors themselves.

Whoa, how do you get your head to spin all the way around like that? :)

Thanks for posting this.

My experience with this car is that the area of the A pillar at the top point of the triangular-shaped window creates a blind spot looking left. For many drivers this probably would not be an issue.

In any event you just need to learn to move your head around a little when looking left to ensure you are not missing anything. Otherwise, this car has very good visibility.
