News flash: The Suzuki SX4's rear seats fold and tumble to accommodate a stack of cardboard boxes. What I didn't realize (until after a two-hour drive home wherein the rear seats would rock forward and smack the front seat every time I stopped in stop-and-go traffic) is...
...that there's a tether that was supposed to be affixed from the offending rear seat to the front seats' headrest posts to quell this charming cargo-hauling artifact.
Next time, I'll try not to be in such a hurry to leave the office to get ahead of the traffic and RTFM. Another thing, the SX4's headlights are weak sauce. This morning when left home in the dark, I couldn't detect any difference between the DRLs and the actual headlamps except that the dash board lit up when I had the headlamps on.

I would suspect owners of this car would do a walk-around to get to know their car eventually. You know...push buttons, poke and prod.
You journalists don't do that?

I think automotive journalists--using the term loosely in the case of edmunds.com--tend to believe they are familiar with all the ways things are done. And it can be an interesting approach to see how user-friendly a car is without consulting the manual. But it can also lead to things like another post were the blogger was harshing on one of the hatchbacks/wagons for not having a flat load floor when the seats were folded, when in fact it did if you folded the seats correctly.
But I've done stuff like this myself--the last time I took my car in for service I was nonplussed to find that the express-down power windows no longer functioned, and after consulting the manual found out that if the battery is disconnected the windows reset themselves and you need to perform some prestidigitation to re-enable the express up/down function. Of course, at a better dealer they would probably have fixed this for me a after reconnecting the battery.

Hey about the headlights, why not get the SX4 some Silverstar Ultras? Its a pretty cheap mod
