Though almost all new cars now come with an auxiliary audio jack, the 2009 Suzuki SX4 isn't one of them. I use my iPod a lot while driving, so not having an input jack on our long-term SX4 has been a little disappointing. Thankfully, Suzuki does offer a regular input jack or a specific iPod adapter (stock photo below) as dealer-installed accessories. For the iPod adapter, though, I think the head unit's poor text display capabilities would hamper its appeal.

FirstWagon is likely going to justify that paying for the AUX-in when you don't NEED it is wasteful and it's better to have it as a dealer markup at an excessive rate.

There is a work around for cars with the Garmin navi - you can load music onto an SD card, stick it in the nav system's slot and it will play through the car's stereo system. On long trips it's better than nothing. You also get track advance through the steering wheel control too.

The CD player in my SX4 will play MP3 or WMA CDs that hold over 10 hours of music at a 128k bitrate, and the steering wheel audio controls will change tracks (although if I have organized the tracks in folders, I can't switch folders on the steering wheel--I have to use the radio dial to switch folders). It can also display 10 characters of information about each MP3.
