Ah hah! Fuel goes in here. Thank jeebus it was labeled.

If only the entire car had these help labels.

Dodge Challenger Labeled

I know, I know. It was on the original car ... but it was silly back then too.

JRiz 1, Dodge 0

That's as smart as two-seater roadsters still having labels on the sun visors saying the backseat is the best place for children.

That fuel door has the all the looks of something you'd pick up at Autozone (and the rest of the car looks bleh as well)

Camaro looks more elegant. Challenger calls for a mullet.

@wobbly_ears

Gives off more of a pimp cane vibe to me.

JRIZ -1, Dodge 0. Don't pick on the poor thing. And never put anything on black paint! Every little swirl shows. The Camaro does look better and less mullettastic as well.

Riz still in business, Dodge/Chrysler F41L

I agree, that thing does need bigger wheels- the proportions look off with those (18" right?)

mikeolan says:

Yeah, but Dodge did it in a cool retro font

haha I'd love a Challenger with all the labels on it.

I think the wheels are just fine. I'm annoyed the Camaro SS forces "Dubs" on its owners. How pointless.

I want a job where I can be sarcastic and snarky on the internet and call it work. Oh and burnouts, and roadtrips...

@stovt001

Yeah, but they have to work in LA/Santa Monica. Told you there's a catch.

If the guy in the picture is James, he should consider a career in acting.

If only the fuel door was labeled "juice" instead...

I don't know what you are complaining about, the gas cap was cool in 1970 and its cool now.

stovt001 says:

mikeolan, I live in LA. I already have to deal with the catch (and what a crappy catch it is too). I might as well get the perks to go along with it.

Dude, the labeled fuel cap actually originates from "Old School" racing

I'm sure that there's a valid reason for this: maybe Dodge feels that that potential owners are too lazy to read the owner's manual.

JRIZ-pop the hood to see if all the fluids are "duh"-labeled as well....

Here is the problem that I have with the fuel cap. It DOSEN'T LOCK! If the car is locked, you can sill open the latch. Most cars now you have to pull a lever in the car to open the fuel door. This leaves you open to have people either syphon gas or put nasty things in you tank.

After having someone do that to me once, I will never get a car without one. Not to mention this looks Chrysler pulled a shortcut on this part of the design for the car.

Nice! That got a laugh out of me.

As did the post by James. Love that eureka face.

Many do, but I wouldn't say most. Most Japanese brands do, as well as Volkswagen group vehicles. Some others, like BMW as one example, feature a gas door that locks when the doors are locked (although that's fairly recent). Most American cars seem to have neither, while Fords don't even have a cap anymore -- though you can buy locking caps for all of them.

Who cares! The entire car still makes you look sexier to the ladies than you actually are! :P

And on that day man did discover much to his shock where the fuel goes on a 09 Challenger.
