Well, our 2009 Suzuki SX4 cleared 5,000 miles last Friday. It happened about a mile short of the McDonald's on Castaic Road just off the I-5. To celebrate, I stopped and bought a Coke.
It will be interesting to see how easily our SX4 racks up miles for the remainder of its stay. The Honda Fits we've had in the fleet have always been popular (96 posts and 25,000 miles for the 2007 car), yet the milquetoast Nissan Versa (50 posts and 16,000 miles) was treated like it had a really bad BO.
I'd like to think that the SX4's mildly playful demeanor will help it be more endearing to our staff than the Versa.

Just finishing my second week as an SX4 owner. Very happy so far.
The 5-speed stick may have something to do with it...Managed 24.5 MPG, all city driving

Looks like a sweet playplace.

I like both of those vehicles. The Versa & SX4 look to have about the same interior dimensions, but I like the Versa's relatively plush interior & amenities (no nav, but you can get Intelligent Key). The Versa almost certainly gets better mileage.
The Versa isn't ugly, but the SX4 wins on exterior styling. And they're both about equally slow (you can't have everything). But here's the clincher: Does the SX4's rear seat fold flat? Versa's doesn't.

The SX4's rear seats don't fold flat either, BUT they can flip up (or is it called "tumbling"?), meaning that the seat part can flip vertically.
That makes for a pretty respectable cargo space, given how tall the car is.
