2009 Ford Flex Limited: Best Bluetooth Award

Phone-screen.jpg

Ford's SYNC gets my award for the best bluetooth interface of any vehicle on the market today. It's a simple interface that, with a few button punches, can be easily linked to your phone. And, once bonded, it can easily be reconnected while moving. This wouldn't matter so much if my phone didn't insist on deactivating bluetooth every time it leaves the car. It also allows phone volume adjustment on the audio system volume knob when bluetooth is in use. Excellent.

Wow. You guys already hit 20,000 Miles on the Flex.

Try mastering BMW's Bluetooth Setup- it may be the worst in the business.

Is connecting a phone to a car traditionally considered a difficult task?

I only ask because in my old Lancer, it was just a matter of a few simple voice commands and then the phones were connected. You just went into the voice menu and then selected "pair a phone" and as long as your phone was looking for a bluetooth device, you were good to go. Thirty seconds at max.

it was on my ford focus that has the sync system with bluetooth. you had to enter a code in the phone, then a voice prompt came on and gave me instructions on what to do but i couldnt over ride her or else she started over so i had to listen to her instead of just going to the next step. then the sync system didnt like me having groups on my blackberry so it would freeze my phone up... it can get really ugly with a lot of swear words real quik... trust me :)
