2009 Dodge Challenger R/T: Is it in you?

2009 Challenger and Nightster.jpg

The 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T is one mean mother -- the baddest prisoner in D-block.

It's easy to imagine it being driven by Lee Marvin or Samuel L. Jackson.
Or perhaps Charlie Bronson.

So you're considering getting one? In today's economy, it's best to be prepared before spending your hard-earned money.

In light of that, for my marketing class I've readied a Challenger screening pop quiz.
Let's see if the Challenger "is in you":

(continues after jump)

My favorite recording artist is:

a. Enrique Iglesias
b. John Mayer
c. Maroon 5
d. Jonas Brothers

The last good movie I saw was:

a. Sex in the City
b. Something with Reese Witherspoon
c. Jonas Brothers - Live!
d. Twilight (6 times: woot-woot!!)

I love to spend my Saturdays:

a. Shopping at Ikea (ref. "Fight Club")
b. Shopping at Crate & Barrel
c. Shopping at Pottery Barn
d. Shopping at Ambercrombie

Lee Marvin.jpg Sam Jackson.jpg

(top photo by S.Jacobs)

CHARLES BRONSON.jpg

My favorite jeans are made by:

a. Mavi
b. Seven for All Mankind
c. True Religion
d. Chip & Pepper

With regard to my mobile phone/internet:

a. I change my Facebook status more than once a day
b. I bought more than 1 phone last year, and one of them was an iphone/Blackberry Storm
c. I get just as excited when I get a new phone as when I get a new car
d. The best thing about my iphone/Blackberry Storm is that I can change my Facebook status several times a day (woot-woot!!)

My favorite way to unwind is:

a. Get a Shiatsu massage
b. Relax with a glass of Savignon Blanc in front of the fireplace
c. Watch a great Reese Witherspoon comedy
d. Pedicure

My favorite drink is:

a. Something with Kahlua
b. White wine spritzer
c. Double decaf half mocchachino/half latte (no foam)
d. Cosmo

My favorite TV show is:

a. Oprah
b. Tyra
c. The View
d. Grey's Anatomy

My next vehicle will probably be a:

a. Smart
b. Prius
c. Volvo
d. Vespa

How'd you do?

It's OK, you can rest assured: there are no correct answers -- or for that matter, wrong ones.

Because I just don't know who will purchase the 2009 Challenger R/T.

But I sure as hell know who won't.

I work there and this is unacceptable. You can't spell it because you can't afford it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahahahahaha.

OK, here's the real answer key:

If you got through the first 1-3 questions without answering anything and said "What the @#$% sissy *^%@ is this? These are all girly-girl questions!" then the Challenger R/T might be for you.

(At least that's the quote that ran through *my* head, so maybe the Challenger R/T might be for me)

This is a soft suspensioned coupe with a big trunk and a big v8 for old guys to drive to the golf course and recapture some of their youth as they do it.

@cx7lover - I hope that's a joke. Abercrombie is terrible.

My favorite drink is:

a. Something with Kahlua
b. White wine spritzer
c. Double decaf half mocchachino/half latte (no foam)
d. Cosmo

Personally, my favorite drink is a man smoothie.
Nails, blood, and motor oil. Blended with a Chevy v8.

Ohhhh, you did not just go there! :P.

I say according to this, 99% of the people here would buy the challenger.

Doesn't know how to spell the name of a efeminite store, that's a plus.
Make fun of him for it and then brag you work there... ok... let's put on our big girl panties and jump in the minivan.. er, cx-7... and have a fun day at work folding mannie-pants! wee!

does a happy ending massage count? its a good looking car and i would buy one.

My answer to each question: None of the above.

I know I qualify... But my wallet doesn't.

I'm happy with my brand new '09 Mazda 6, V6, sSport model. The Challenger would be my weekend toy, if I could afford to own more than one car.

I shot my computer after reading this post. I guess I'm qualified for Challenger ownership.

cx7lover, AMBERcrombie is for high school kiddies. And I'm with sabastian, I am preparing to shoot my computer right about now..... Spectacular post. Remind me to never visit SoCal ever ever ever again after reading "Double decaf half mocchachino/half latte (no foam)" ON A CAR BLOG.

It is possible that, with one single post, cx7lover has lost any/all credibility. Impressive.

I knew these questions weren't for me when I had to struggle to remember even seeing 2 of these brands:

My favorite jeans are made by:

a. Mavi
b. Seven for All Mankind
c. True Religion
d. Chip & Pepper

An ex-girlfriend bought me a pair of Mavi jeans ~8 years ago. Those puppies are some comfy, baggy jeans. :)

Though not my favorites, I guess by admitting that I LIKE a pair of Mavi Jeans makes the challenger not for me.

Oh well.

At least cx7lover works. No shame in a paycheck. Especially the way things are now.

Still...

How do you check all? :)

You forgot this question:

Your feelings on Pinkberry?

a. I like it.
b. Only with Kiwi and Lychee toppings.
c. I get it on the way back from my Pedi
d. If future anthropologists were to unearth my car 1000 years later, they would think that my backseat was where Pinkberry cups went to die.

cx7lover says:

I guess about 85% of you can't spot a joke.

It's Abercrombie for those that weren't aware.

Ambercrombie is a common misspelling. People that wear the clothing religiously get offended by the misspelling calling the people that don't spell it right poor, wal-mart shoppers.

Never heard of 90% of this crap, guessing it's the under 20 crowd who would get this of is this California specific?

cruiserhead1 says:

can you spell backpedalling? C...X...7...L...O....

haha ownage

smilez says:

All this talk is making the Challenger want to punch something.
There ARE wrong answers. If you circled any of the above choices, you're wrong. At the very least, please don't go above the V-6, you don't deserve it.

The only thing you should choose is an ice cold brew, a big thick steak, and a flick that involves one of the top ten chase scenes in movie history.

I say Good Day to you!

Man that black looks good on that car.

bloodyr says:

cartester16 says:

You know, it wasn't long ago (maybe it was 15 years ago?) that Abercrombie was THE place to get nice, conservative, sturdy, well-made clothes. Stuff a well-dressed farmer would wear. If I remember correctly, they didn't even have women's clothes back then, and if they did, it wasn't a lot. I have button-down oxfords, t-shirts, and sweatshirts that are pushing 20 years old and they still look great. Not sure when it became metro-ville, prolly less than 10 years ago?

"This is a soft suspensioned coupe with a big trunk and a big v8 for old guys to drive to the golf course and recapture some of their youth as they do it."

LOL! and very true.

And who the heck is Enrique Iglesias? someone answer me, I honestly don't know.

SnakeDoctor says:

Enrique Iglesias is the son of the famous Julio Iglesias and is a recording pop star.
He sings some wonderful ballads...for me to poop on! (I believe he also shops at Ambercrombie.)

Snake Doc

If you could put an answer to any of those questions then you shouldnt be driving a black muscle car...perhaps a pink Mary Kay cosmetics deville will suit you better
