Thought for the day:
When I drive the Audi R8 I want to be good. When I drive the Nissan GT-R I want to be bad.

My current Audi makes me want to be good; my old STi made me want to be bad. That's part of the reason why I had to get rid of it. :)

Nissans tend to make everyone be bad. Just ask Jaeger1 with his wife's Altima!

So I'm not the only one who's noticed that! Bad drivers that I notice are usually driving a Nissan or Corolla S.

Bad in a good way ? Or Good in a bad way ?

Its only a 11 second street car. Doesn't everyone drive a 11 second 0-60 in 3 second street car ?

Inside Line should crank their car up a little bit. You did it with the Evo....

A 10 second street car would be even more funner. Or the funnerist.

Does the smart make you feel smart, Donna? :o)

my car makes me feel like I'm actually a cool guy.

My car makes me feel good, but that I could be a little bad fairly quickly. That small threat makes a big difference.

I always try to not be a jerk in my car, as SRT-4's have a stigma attached to them of being driven by less than nice people. Instead on Tuesday I got honked at by a guy in an F-250 for pausing to let someone merge into traffic at a bad intersection. Oh well.

Is it because it's soul-less?

BMW drivers always think they're on the autobahn and are impatient with me getting out of their way. I have yet to encounter a GT-R in central Florida.

The suspension is so rough, it gets you agitated and aggressive --> aggressive driving.

The R8's a more gentlemen like car. Elegant, refrained. Rounded and soft. Please, after you.

certain cars just want to go fast all the time... its a problem i had in my Suby, but not with my Z.

Oddly enough, I usually find myself driving slower whenever I'm in my dad's M3 than in my RX-8. Weird.

Real classy, helios1.

The only GT-R I've seen was in a mall parking lot, windows down (outside temp was 28), techno blasting, revving its engine behind a slow-moving minivan. I pegged the occupants at about 20.

Billt9 has nailed it, again. I think that was the case with my STi - I sacrificed a lot of comfort for speed, so I guess I felt I had to "get my money's worth" out of that. Not the case in the Audi, of course.

And I'm starting to suspect that helios1 is an ex-employee of IL or Edmunds. Or maybe an ex-husband?
